We fit hearing aids from all six major manufacturers — Oticon, Phonak, ReSound, Signia, Starkey and Widex — in every style, from behind-the-ear down to invisible-in-canal.
Because we are independent, the recommendation comes from your hearing test and how you actually live, not from one brand. There is a plain-English guide to the current technology on our hearing aids page.
Yes. We offer financing through Cherry, so the cost of hearing aids can be spread over monthly payments rather than paid up front. You can check your options and apply from our financing page.

Yes. We see children of all ages, from newborn hearing screenings through school-age evaluations, at our pediatric audiology appointments.
Early detection matters for speech and language development, so if you or a teacher has a concern, it is worth having it checked rather than waiting to see whether it settles.
A full diagnostic hearing evaluation is more than the quick screening you might have had elsewhere. We look inside your ears, test how you hear tones right across the pitch range, and check how well you understand speech — including with background noise, which is usually the part people find hardest.
You leave knowing whether you have hearing loss, what type and degree it is, and what your options are. If hearing aids are not the answer, we will tell you that too.
Most current hearing aids connect over Bluetooth and stream phone calls, music and TV audio straight into your ears. Every major brand has an app if you want manual control, though plenty of our patients never open one — the hearing aids do their work on their own.
We also fit phone and TV accessories and captioned telephones where they help.
Two ways. Call the clinic nearest you — the numbers are at the top of every page and on our locations page — or fill in our free hearing assessment online and we will call you back to arrange an evaluation at whichever office suits you.
Yes, we take walk-in repairs. A quick call to the office first helps — we can tell you the best time that day so you are not waiting around.
Our average wait is about three weeks across the five offices. Plattsburgh and Potsdam tend to run longer; Saranac Lake, Milton and Shelburne are usually shorter. We keep room for urgent problems and do our best to see those patients as soon as we can.
Look for a Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) or a licensed hearing instrument specialist, a clinic that runs a full diagnostic evaluation rather than a quick screening, access to more than one manufacturer, and clear pricing that says what follow-up care is included.
Ask what happens after the fitting. The adjustments over the first few months are what turn a hearing aid into hearing. You can meet our team before you book.
